It's amazing to see God's creativity, love, and generosity on full display each and every day. Our church family generously give their time, service, talents, and treasures through so many acts of worship, and we invite you to join us in our movement of every day generosity!

Whether it be rocking out with our worship team, donating and transporting goods to the shelters, serving with volunteer teams on the weekend, using text-to-give, or dropping some dollars into the giving bucket. Each and every act of generosity matters and helps change the lives of others. Everyone's gifts and service are acts of worship that truly bring us all closer to our Creator!

Giving FAQs

Why we give?

As a church, we believe that we are called to respond to the generosity of the gospel by giving extravagantly to the progress of the gospel in our community and world. Biblical generosity is not about meeting budget needs. It is about a rich and trusting relationship with a living God. We express our faith and love to Him by honoring Him as the source of everything we have. Scriptural giving is performed with regularity, from the first portion of all we are given, as a proportion of our income, cheerfully, and without pressure or manipulation.

What is tithing?

Tithing is our starting place in giving. The Bible teaches us about a baseline standard for giving: the tithe (a word that literally means a “tenth”). When we give the first 10% of our income through the local church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others. God also encourages us to give offerings beyond our tithe to specific projects at our local church and to other organizations and causes that we personally believe in.

Whether you’d like to give a single gift, schedule recurring donations, or view your giving history, you can do it all online. It’s quick, easy, and secure. 

Where can I find giving statements and annual reports?

Church Center automatically creates a donor profile for you after you donate to Hillside the first time.

You can log in to your donor profile to update payment methods or recurring payments, view your donation history, access tax statements, and set communication preferences.

Additionally, we generate and email a PDF for your tax records as confirmation of your donations at the end of every year.

We are so thankful for everyone who financially partnered with us this year as we seek to be the hands and feet of Jesus both in our own community and beyond. Thanks to everyone's generosity, we’ve been able to do the following in 2022 and 2023 so far

2022 Highlights:

  • Supporting the Mexico Ministry Trip with Cristo Vive in Ensenada, Mexico
  • Contributing to surgery costs for Jaime, pastor at Cristo Vive in Ensenada, Mexico
  • Providing financial support to the Stratton’s Ministry with Rivers Worship in Santa Clarita
  • Contributing financial support to the Swart’s Ministry at 614 in Columbus, Ohio
  • Meeting various needs in the community and the Hillside church body

2023 Highlights:

  • Placerville Crisis Pregnancy Center - $1,000
  • New Beginnings Ministry, providing re-entry services for men and women after incarceration - $1,000
  • Life Start Church, Campbell CA a church plant in the San Jose area - $1,000
  • Support for a new well for clean drinking water in 3rd world country via Samaritan's Purse - $5,000
  • Earthquake relief help via Convoy of Hope to Turkey and Syria - $1,000

We are so grateful for everyone's support in all God is doing in and through our church, and we’re excited to continue in the ministry and service to which He has called us.
